Recently bought my first FF (2003 Vogue, TD6). It came with two sets of wheels - 20" with OK 'summer' tyres and the original 18's, so I'm thinking about putting some winter tyres on the 18's. I think I can put either 255/60/18 or 235/65/18 tyres on these wheels. If that's correct, any recommendations for which size is best and why?

In terms of tyre choice, any advice greatly appreciated! So far I've looked at some Nokians WR SUV 3 in the 255/60/18 size or Vredstein Wintrac 4 Extreme XL in the 235/65/18. I've noticed that the Vredsteins have a load rating of 110 vs 112 of the Nokians - is this an issue?

Budget is around £100 a corner (plus fitting).

Very last question - I did notice some Cooper Weathermaster WSC for £70 each on Oponeo, but they only have a load rating of 106 so not sure if that's too low for a FF?

Im about to fit 265/60 r18 tyres. Will fit without any clearance issues and there are a lot of tyre choices in that size too.

I plan on getting kumho izen kc15 winter tyres. Had them before on my freelander and was very pleased with them. V8 or else ...
