Thanks for the comments.

I am still searching for a car, and this wont prevent me buying one. Its the short-cut we use to get the parents. Other ways around but just a bit longer.

Think will get a tape measure first, as hoping its more than 7 foot as people here have noted.

sorry to jump onto an old thread but have similar issue

Hi all - any help here would be amazing - i'm looking at buying a 2014 FFRR Vogue se.

The access lane to our parking space is, at narrowest point 2.3m wide (7ft6 in old money) so have found a car with 360 cameras. The walls are made of heavy/rough hewn stone - not smooth/flat and very unforgiving, They are 6ft+ high

In my current 5 series touring (cheap to save funds for propper toy before you judge) it is do-able every day/night for last couple of years (BMW width 211.9cm mirrors out). Admittedly it takes concentration.......

NormanP - please can you elaborate on the mirror camera's will be no use - surely folded they will be showing the ground - just at 90deg to direction of travel

back up plan is to buy a late D4 - those plastic wheel arch protectors look pretty disposable to me...

I don't know what the cameras are like in the pre MY18 cars, but mine has a great overhead view which just shows both front wheels which is prefect for width restrictions / toll booths / multi-storey carparks etc.

Edit: I thought I had a picture...this is the view

Hmmm ....my rat run .... think I need Land Rover to create a Park Assist function for width restrictions !

Think I have been on this road. I was about to try it and then gave up. Not worth risking the 22inch getting kerbed. I did cause some traffic and was feeling awkward thinking people will be laughing at me but I got over it.

What a shame.

Width (w/o mirrors) is 207cm, I would say 213cm (7ft) is pretty tight, about 3cm tolerance on each side...

I can do 7'2" in mine; 6'6" is a no-no, but it's true the restriction is normally tighter than the actual width and the actual widths do vary. It's annoying that the sat nav directs you to these width restrictions, though, I should be able to have this as a route restriction. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

Yes - most of the 6’ 6” ones in town (like Albert Bridge) are fine - it’s the kerbs that are the thing to watch.

I have a lot my way, with evil kerbstones. It was just about ok in the 322, but the 405 with its 22" alloys is more than I can bear... Crying or Very sad

Looks like Wimbledon. If so I’ve been through there with no issues. Personally I think the one by w’don park station is harder

When I was a young lad I used to drive a Bedford TK 3.5t tipper around Chelsea, you could squeeze it through the the width restrictions but always made a scraping sound , not sure why , but it got through Thumbs Up 2015 4.4 AB

In a rush today and ‘just’ got through this with about 5mm either side and tyre walls just to say touching gently once as I went through at 1-2mph!! I used the mirrors and cameras in the extended position and were a good guide either side
I won’t be going this route again!!
