I viewed this a couple of weeks ago, pretty tired all round, interior especially so. Was willing to take £19k but I decided it wasn't for me in the end.

How tired would it have to be to not offer £19k? Was it just cosmetic? Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Nearly every panel had a ding or scratch, I suppose nothing too bad in each case but overall effect was very uncared for. Upper tailgate was bubbling on lower edge & slightly dented on one side, rear wheel arches starting to go. Interior was grubby and both front seats but especially drivers were pretty worn. Engine bay was filthy. To be fair it sounded ok at idle but I didn't take it for a test drive as knew I didn't want it at that point anyway. I suppose with some effort and a few £'s on paint and perhaps renovation or even retrim of front seats & a damn good clean it would be a reasonable buy.

And the dealer describes it variously as:

A stunning example

A superb well maintained vehicle

Excellent condition throughout

Excellent bodywork

Beige full leather interior, excellent condition

Seems like everything is excellent and hunky dory when the reality is somewhat different. WTF do people do this??? I did a 350 mile round trip to view a car that was similarly described and was actually complete rubbish.

Do they think people will turn up and not notice it's shoite and buy it anyway.

Its been for sale since June so obviously not a great example. I assume he has only just lowered the price then.

Makes you wonder if the part ex value they offered was about £14-15k...

Rust in the tailgate and arches isn't surprising really even in warranty Sad FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

I would agree with that on the basis that the car I bought in August, was sold to the previous owner by you, and it was immaculate. There's some odd paint on the offside front of the bonnet but that could have been done by the previous owner.

He had 1 warranty claim which was allowed which also suggests your warranties aren't the usual worthless things the trade sometimes sell/give away.

Keep up the good work Gary. 2017 5.0 Autobiography Supercharged
