I'm not a fan - but each to their own - there's plenty that don't like parts of the car colour coded or black Windows or 22's - but didn't stop me

depends on the car , bright yellow on a porshe will look ok but on a FF it doesnt .. ... - .- -.

Yes, they look great on those cars. For an FFRR, I think of the brakes as one of many parts that should do their jobs perfectly, but silently and unseen.

Great looking 405, OP. As for the one with the yellow brakes, it's a trade vehicle, and the brakes set off the sign and draw attention. Exactly what you want for a business. I don't think it would be as successful on a regular, private vehicle. But that just my 2p...

Will this have any affect come warranty claim time? I was going to gloss mine to protect them (not change colour) and do the hubs to tidy them up but dont want to risk a warranty issue given that it spends more time there than at my house

I think if you want to paint them just go for it you never know you may set off a trend
Mine are blue as red and yellow are old school now

'Had them done already and I think they look better. I do think Land Rover are missing an opportunity by not offering various colours a source though.

My calipers already look tatty after just 5k miles. Tried to remember to tell the car wash guys not to spray acid cleaner on them but forgot one time and now they look horrible. The zinc plating tarnishes so easily.

I'm thinking of removing, dismantling and having them powder coated in satin black, does anyone know if this is a successful upgrade, does powder coating withstand high temperatures ? I'm unlikely to do a track day with it so just 'normal' driving but I do tow a 2 tonne rib quite a bit so maybe higher than average.

Hi mate that's how the likes of Brembo and AP Racing sell the calipers from new " powder coated"

So you are on the right path unless you have a steady hand you could always try caliper paint at a fraction of the price and you won't need to stip them off the car

Yes no bother, mine still look like new... and they get some abuse, it was also cheaper than buying the paint...!!!
