Pulled grin muscles

Today we went to the factory to watch as our new 405 was built, arrived on the track in time to watch the front seats go in to the shell, then watched as the drive train was raised in and bolted in place. Across to the Defender line, a trip through the jungle and then back to watch her come off the line, in to tracking and lights adjustment.
Wife said I beamed with delight all day.
Organised by the salesman at our dealership and was a truly special experience.
All the chaps on the line were happy to explain what they were doing and seemed genuinely please that I was as excited as a six year old on Christmas morning. letters not necessarily in the right order

That sounds great. A car assembly factory is fun no matter what, but to see your own car, Thumbs Up .

United Kingdom 2002 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Oslo Blue

A friend of mine did this - saw the robots on the production line, heard the blah blah from the tour guide about computer controlled machinery used for mm precision panels on the car, then peered round a corner off the official route, to watch 2 guys with a piece of 2x4 wood correcting the door closures through a method of placing it in the bottom of the door, and sharply slamming it shut. Appeared to be knocking 7 bells out of them to get them aligned Laughing Howard

Shocked Shocked
Rather like overhearing, "I don't care. I'm taking my coffee break. The dealership can sort it."
