Full Fat in Skyfall

Found this on youtube and I cannot understand why in the world would they bother putting driver on top of the car and then editing him out in final scene when it is all about slow driving through a gate.

I had trouble with that too, especially when you see the film and realise that he is in the rear seat and being driven Shocked Where is the danger in being chauffeured ? Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Just had a thought.......... I know that location, it's the underground car park at Smithfield's Market in London, there is height restriction of less than 8 feet as they stack all the vans on the ramp going down to the car park.... that stunt driver must have had a major headache Laughing

In the film I believe that all the footage was from the offside window and there were no shots from inside the car, so that still doesn't explain why the driver was moved to the roof. The only reason for putting the remote driver in, is for shots of the actor driving and talking to a passenger. They can concentrate on their lines and not the road, and the end footage has the background in the same light and moving at the same speed as the car. Normally they would just stick the car on a trailer, and film the shot as it was towed down the road. It seams like a very expensive way of complicating an relatively easy process Shocked Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!
