Trim creaks

I have my second L405 which is a 15 MY, it has trim creaks front and back, dealer unable? Or unwilling to fix, it has been in twice in 6 months --- came back to RR's after 20 plus years with BMW, Audi and Mercedes --- am I expecting too much?

Have you identified exactly where the trim creaks are coming from, i.e. by getting someone to press and push the areas that seem to be creating the problem?

Trim Creaks

It has been in to the dealers twice in 6 months and they tried to rectify. I don't know if trim creaks are part of the RR family now, but for a supposedly luxury car costing six figures it does seem somewhat odd to me. Maybe I just have to get used to it?

I had creaking trim on my Discovery, sprayed WD40 into the offending joints and the problem went away permanently.

Gummi Pflege.

Second choice is syl-glide, which is about half the price. Syl-glide is a bit tacky and messy. So I invested in gummi pflege. It's awesome, and my car now is eerily quiet. And the small built-in applicator sponge makes this easy to store in your sparetire area, then whip it out when you have a click/creak from the doors. Make sure you do both the soft door seals AND the firmer rubber "finishing" seals.

I first thought my car was falling apart because there were so many clicks, clacks and creaks. My service technician took a 2 minute ride and said it's just the rubber seals. Sure enough. But, if you're inclined, I recommend the gummi pflege before syl-glide because it smells better, isn't tacky or messy, and it really works if you apply it everywhere liberally.
