United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Vogue TDV8 Atacama Sand

Well done on the sale Marsie. My mate missed out big time. Would have been perfect for him and he could have deflected any grief as it had RA heritages! Thumbs Up

I know Paul was busy etc but here is a couple of pics of the livery on the bonnet, it clearly reads royal artillery but the rest is i presume latin?

Hope you can see it in the pics

It's actually Royal Horse Artillery or RHA for short. More than likely it would have been used as a Recruiting Vehicle driving the guys around the country.

Could have been used by:

King's Troop RHA - ceremonial mounted unit based now in Woolwich
1 RHA - Big AS90 guns
3 RHA - L118 Light Guns
7 (Para) RHA - doubtful as no Parachutist wings evident - L118 Light Guns

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Royal_Horse_Artillery

The "crest" is actually called a Cypher and the Honi Soit Qui Mal Y Pense is actually Norman French which is used in a lot of Royal Coats of Arms & translates as Evil be to whom evil thinks.

Geek mode off - I served in 7 (Para) RHA for 3 years that's all! Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?

Thanks very much piecost 76, very informative. Geek mode appreciated! It was first registered in England in 2010 but says in the special notes was registered and or used, declared manufactured 2002. Anybody know if that could mean it was stationed abroad or just first registered for civilian use after it's time in the uk with the RHA? Very Happy

Many thanks marky

All RHA units are now in UK so probably it was on a military Reg & then registered as a Civvy in 2010. Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?
