Replacing the battery in the key fob

Hopefully the right forum for this...

06 FFRR SC. At the garage right now. The garage is reporting that the key fob batteries are low and should be replaced. For £49!

Now, (a) how tricky is this job (b) what are the potential pitfalls; (c) how on earth does it rack up to £49? Range Rover 4.2 SC

what are they, gold plated Laughing

Easy change, buy some from a watch shop or other shop that sells the same battery as yours .....and fit your self!

Well that's what I did when I had the message low battery in the fob!

Cost...no more than a few quid Thumbs Up

This is for the sport but the new fobs will no dought be the same.

If you have the early key with 3 buttons and not the folding type, 2 screws under a cover and split them apart. If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!
