could you post a photo to show me what it would look like without the trim/molding? https://instagram.com/_.iconoclast/

Scotland 2009 Range Rover Westminster TDV8 Mariana Black

I had a tiny bit of rust under boot lid and asked to have mine done at the same time under warranty.

Land Rover said no, they were included under seals and trim not the corrosion warranty which was annoying as its the aluminium inside them that blows and bubbles then looks awful.

I opted to replace them it was £25 a side as I recall! Shocked

The only reason I can see for having them is to protect the exposed glass edge if you are loading things into the back as the exposed glass edge could get damaged if struck or if really unlucky break the rear windscreen.

^Interesting

Mine were ok when my boot went in to be replaced, but speaking to Chartwell who did the replacement, they replace them as a matter of course when doing the Boot corrosion! So I have new ones on, and I know that the ones which were on it before it went in were only a few months old as they were done before I bought it! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
