Gearbox service at Cam-Tec-Craig's

Evening all,

Booked in for a gearbox service at Cam-Tec today.
Nice to have met Craig and Lorna, made to feel very welcome.
Job done within a few hours and Craig checked the vehicle out thoroughly, pointing out a few minor issues and also giving advice on things like turning off the auto steering adjustment.
Drove back home and instantly noticed quicker, smoother gear changes, even though the box operated well and didn't have any obvious problems prior to the service.
A job well done and would highly recommend Craig to anyone in the market for a box service Thumbs Up

Regards,

Ian

Haylands - Craig is indeed a good chap.

Stan - Your right, it was a bit of a trek, but there were two things I kept in mind;

1 - I am impressed with the members of this forum giving up time and effort in order to help other members with problems/advice. Everyone is busy these days and I can appreciate the effort shown. In my opinion, Craig (amongst many others on the forum) is one of these guys and I wanted to show my support in giving him the business. There are places a lot closer to me but I knew he would do a proper job and I think it is important to do what you can to help members of the forum community. I also got some good advice on a few issues.

2 - I looked at the day as a bit of a jolly. There was the opportunity to drive and enjoy the vehicle (which I did, even more on the return trip with a better gear change), meet people who share the same interests, check out the local surroundings for a few hours (beautiful area) and a great local garden centre, who do an excellent cooked breakfast incidentally. It was a win win in my opinion and an important part of the maintenance schedule.

' some say.... that his toolbox is as organised as the British library, AND, that the drawers, are lined with Alcatara leather, -all we know is, he called 'The Craig-ster'

I believe, meeting him, to be something like this....
