I imagine I am not the first but I could not find anything in my searches so I am asking if anyone else has this issue of the weatherstrip bubbling up around the rear windscreen/window:

Very common, pretty much all of them do it to a greater or lesser degree. Just another feature......

I have factory warranty through December 2016 and am looking at all the issues I would like to address at my next service visit. This really isn't an issue outside of being a tad bit unsightly and not pleasant to look at but in terms of leaks or water ingress I have none. https://instagram.com/_.iconoclast/ |

Had mine replaced under warranty with no hesitation also a few months ago. However, the bottom of them have already started to come away slightly from the glass! |

I think before they were fitted (don't have them on my 2002) the rain runs down the side of the glass so when you lift the tailgate upper it rains down on you (unless done slowly) Howard

Not worth the hassle replacing them as the new ones will do exactly the same, best removed them |

as said they can be removed the 06-09 didn't have them and the 02-05 had a finisher at the bottom which was deleted in the latter models. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Mine were removed before I bought the car. The LR (main) dealer said they always remove. Had the car a year and been no issues with leaks into boot or anything.
