Seriously!

Collected my S/C from factory 8thsept, wrong steering wheel and wheels fitted... Dealer fault, steering wheel fitted next day, wheels two weeks later and took them 2 days! And damaged interior boot trim(did replace)..
Tailgate fault since collecting.. Been in and out with the last period being 9 days, LR technical was involved... Collected fri with a 98% fix.. Failed next day..
However, thinking through the issue, I fixed it in 20 minutes yesterday! ......Embarrasing?
The dealer has been beside themselves throughout with the head of business being constantly involved.
Have yet to tell him I sorted it.......

If I could ever bring myself to buy a new car I just know that from reading the L405 forum, this sort of dealer Censored really would take the shine off it. I think I would be boiling inside.

So I don't think I could ever buy a new car - I would expect perfection from Day 1 and I know I would not get it. So I really feel for you guys in this section - cracked sunroof's, car to and fro from incompetent Dealers - I just could not stand it for such an expensive product.

Feel for you. Howard

It is crazy really you get all this extra crap with a new car and on top of that you "pay extra" for it through the depreciation over the first well day ! Very sad really that JLR can build beautiful cars but not get them out of the factory in tip top condition😠 MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!
Have the Faultmate MSV2 Extreme to be tinkering with the settings etc. !!

Couldn’t have said it better myself sir... Whistle

A mate’s son recently bought a moped/scooter thing brand new and the paintwork, fit and finish was soooooooo much better than a lot of new JLR products! and all for less than a grand!!!

Ahem, WAKE UP JLR!!!!!

Even if i magically won the euro millions i would not buy brand new from JLR, its just not worth it.
Mainly cos im a bit tight but also when you spend £110k+ i would be taking no Censored from them and geting them to sign a contract that for everyday that it was in for repair/tsb or warranty work outside of a normal scheduled service that they would be paying me back £1k or pay the equivalent of that months finance...

Its truly shocking and does make you wonder why celebs get them for free....

Maybe it needs a few airings on Watchdog or the like to get it sorted.... FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

My cousin works for JLR dealership in the South East (Dealer name omitted)

Anyway apparently one side of the road is the Jag showroom, and the other side is LR

Well my cousin opted for the Jag side and for good reason.

He tells me some of the legendry tales about LR customers - the impression I get is that they are not as "calm" as those of the Jag.

One guy they got on CCTV, - fed up with the troubles with his brand new FF, arrived early one morning, got out, went to the boot, pulled out a jerry can, poured petrol all over the car and set it on fire, causing not only the demise of his FF, but also several other dealer and customer cars parked next to it. Howard
