With 180k on it things like the air compressor, suspension struts and just normal bushes will be needing doing at some point in the next few years.

Ziggy, I am just approaching 180k on mine (4.4 Petrol BMW V and had no real probs. It's not the mileage, it's how well it's been looked after.

Well I went and had another really good look over her and spent a good hour and a half including using a borrowed code reader to check for any error codes. There were a couple of old ones which we cleared and then checked again after the test drive and they didn't recur.
