As someone already knows, I have the problem of bad alternator, BOSCH WATER COOLED ALTERNATOR, that sometimes charge and sometimes not.
the only parts provided by LAND ROVER and BMW are the outer gasket and the pulley, and of course a complete alternator below all codes bosch and reference for each part are:
diodes can be found online for a few euro, must be three positive and three negative 50 amps or higher, if you do not want to buy the full rectifier.
There are also repair kit online, including what you want, but I don't know the quality. Infact I bought regulator type monark 082 989 200, thinking it was good German quality, however very disappointed. Bearings and more, bought by woodauto UK, really friendly and efficient. OEM bearings are KOYO / Ball Bearing 6203 2RS -17x40x12 mm and Ball Bearing 6304 EHSR 2RS - 17x52x17 mm (mean 2rs double rubber sealed), but you can take any quality you want like SKF / FAG / NSK ETC .. So the pattern regulator appears to be made in Germany, whereas the Bosch one is "Made in GB". |

always make attention, because OEM BOSCH is marked ''MADE IN GB'' meanwhile the other one is only marked ''GERMANY'' that does not mean, made in Germany, but onlly from Germany or something like that. Unfortunately there is no way, to have the original part, at least I was not able to find it. For what I can understand, most of these voltage regulator as spare, are made in CHINA /TAIWAN, and rebranded. You can see that is a bit different from original, with small circuit, invisible on the original part.

That may be true, but not everything made in Germany is good quality, in the same way not everything made in China is rubbish. ![]() |
