Stop Start Button

Does this come out easily and then if so does the front come off easily.
Although I always press it at the top where its solid it was softening a bit in the centre due to previous usage this has now cracked, probably due to the enthusiasm of the airport car parking staff last week. If I am certain that if the whole thing comes out easily and the bit with the lettering comes of I can effect a simple and inexpensive repair.
Otherwise I might just have to buy a new one - but I bet they ain't cheap. Very Happy Geoff

Thanks Dan, I will investigate, obviously I will have to figure out how to remove the switch but if I can get it out but then can't repair it I'll be in touch, Thumbs Up Geoff

There are two part numbers for this one is LR011897 and one LR050802 are they the same?
The second supersedes the first but the first is available on eBay for £25. Geoff

So I had to see If I could have fixed the old switch and saved the price of a new one, bottom line I could have but it would not have been "good as new" but plenty serviceable. I would have drizzled some epoxy onto the back of the damaged area if I was effecting a permanent repair but as I was just playing and I didn't have any - guess what - I haven't Very Happy

As I say it needs some epoxy dripping onto the back of the button across the crack to make a permanent repair (behind the letters) but it would have been fine, Will I put it back together before I bin it? Geoff
