As above, both of my suggested devices aren't technically needed but will help make your life easier long term 👍

Headphones I would go for some noise cancelling ones as while they are never perfect they will help in the car and keep the kids in their own little world and happy 👍😄

As for the Bluetooth part only one device at a time can connect from what I know of the system and all it will do is enable you to get the sound from the device that's paired with, so I wouldn't worry about the iPads pairing just your phone 👍 FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

In a perfect world, I would love to use two iPads but with holders that have the look and feel of the 10.2 inch RSE that is a factory order.

Best thing then is to see a retrimmer but it wouldn't be cheap and may require a faff to take out the iPad each time you wanted to do that.

The merc/Audi wire support method seems the easiest and least ugly option to me in most cases. FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Ok, so got the iPad connected but only through the phone option because the option to add a device in my music did nothing and the my TV menu didn't allow for a Bluetooth pairing.

Tried to play a movie and no sound through the car speakers, some how managed to get a song to play (by pure luck) and no sound either, what am I missing please?

You change the source of the audio in Audio / AV. I think it says "change device". There is the ability to have a bluetooth connection to one device for the phone and then a different device for "music", it still catches me out now.

Hi "Change Device" only appears in My Music on my 13 plate, in My TV / Audio there are digital TV options etc but no change button bottom left like in my music. I could only pair my iPad through the phone menu but it's listed in my music although nothing happens through the car when I play a movie or music from my pad, any idea?

Mine is a 15.5MY VSE and in the bottom right you can see "change device" that takes you to page below.

Just select your iPad in this menu and you will get the audio

I can get the pad paired up and select it like you show in the first picture but nothing happens after that, I've tried a movie and an album, both okay on the pad but nothing from the RR, it has muted the sound on the pad but doesn't come through on the car, these fu**ing things Big Cry

It does sound like there is a different source allocated to the entertainment audio. You can have different devices for phone and entertainment audio, I found out the hard way through trial and error (I never read manuals). When you go into "change device" is your iPad listed?

Yes it is. I even managed to get the song to list on the RR screen but no sound, and that was a fluke getting it on there

Is there an independent source volume per chance that could be muted or turned right down in the FF? FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

Took a step forward today, figured out that the pad was paired as a phone (it was the only way I could find it) rather than an audio device, so deleted in the managed to get it paired up as an audio device this time.

I can now see the movie title on the RR screen and pause / play it etc. from the screen too (the movie paused on the pad) but still no bloody sound from the car or the pad?

I searched online and an Evoque owner suggested a triangle symbol of sorts would appear and need to be pressed to sync the sound with the RR speakers but I don't have any such symbol.

Have asked my contact at LR about it but no reply yet

I think its the Apple Airplay symbol they are referring to. Maybe a silly question but is the volume full up on the iPad?

Yes, plays perfectly when not linked to the RR

I might be wrong here - but if an apple device is paired for BT options then appear on the device itself to tell it where to send the sound outputs (i.e. it may be paired but you have earphones in - you can tell it to use the headphones instead of the BT device).

Been a long time since I played with the actual IOS frontend mind...... Land Rover Addict
