Get some deionised water and dunk the key in it numerous times to wash off the salt water then put it in a glass jar full of rice and stick it in the airing cupboard for a few weeks, it's the water impurities drying on the electronics that cause trouble, wash them off and thoroughly dry it and you will be amased what will work again... like my daughters iPhone that she dropped down the toilet, and then flushed it Pete

I will try that again - I did have a go & all seemed OK - but then the alarm would go off randomly if I locked it with that key.

No - it won't work. I have had experience with that key - it does suit a few models though - Disco, sport, 405 I know of. |
