Can you set up the remote for the FBH to work the air con? I have looked in the book but it only mentions heating

Don't need the heater so much, but being able to switch the air con on 10 mins before you got into the car would be fantastic

Hi Ziggy, that would only work if the AC compressor is driven electrically and not mechanically of the engine or if the engine is running (i.e. remote starting). I'm not aware that the functionality is there anyway, pretty sure not but wouldn't it be great in warm places or on warm days to have a bit of cooling before you get in.

I'm pretty sure that in electric cars this is certainly possible and it wouldn't surprise me if a cars like the Tesla S and X actually have that functionality built in. MY 2010 5.0 SC Galway green and sand interior!!

The FBH does double as a ventilator though. I used to use the timed climate to bring on the fans 10 minutes before I left work. It just uses the heater fans to ventilate the car. Not perfect but much better than raging hot if it was sat in the sun.

Yes, in the summer it operates as remote/timed ventilation. Just takes the edge off the temperature.

I noticed some Audi's have a solar panel in the sunroof, that runs the ventilation fans when it's parked in the sun. Shame the Range Rover didn't come with that.

That's a double edged sword. My humble Skoda Superb has it and it does work well. But it also means a new blower motor every 2 years.

I think the cut off ambient temp is 15 degrees for heating. higher than that it will ventilate via the remote. 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

You can walk up to the car and hold the unlock button... After 3 seconds or so it opens the windows and sunroof until you let go of the button sir...

If yours does NOT do that then it needs enabling in the CCF, but is possible sir

Cam-Tec your a , when I read your post I went out and tried cook thought I was mad 10pm pitch black and I'm out playing with the rangie

Alas it did't work no windows opened. ....where would I look in the ccf to enable it

I think somebody needs to do an idiot guide on what you can do with the IDTool as I'm sure I'm not using it to its full potential

does one set it to lazy unlock or what.............I'me great with a hammer not so good with techno s**t

still aint got the TV working and I'v been playing with the setting in the ccf on an off for months now
