Took delivery of my Vogue this morning. I was shown everything working and pre sales stuff was all sorted. Turned off and locked went to office to sign paperwork. I can't recall if the display came back on or not, but certainly when I looked it was gray. As I was getting used to the beast and traffic around Cheltenham town center, I did not bother looking until I got home and had the manual to check I had not done something silly. And I don't appear to have. I also appear to not have dash indicators showing or a click, the lights do work just not the visual and audial warnings.

No still the same this morning, it's got to go back as reversing lights and rear wash wipe don't work either.

I am a recent owner like you. I Cant help with the lights but maybe with the wash wipe. I presume the wiper is working but no fluid coming out, if so there is a one way valve in the tailgate by the wiper motor. Mine was stuck closed, unable to free it I just fitted another generic valve and all good. 2007 TDV8 VSE

If everything on the tailgate isn't working then it sounds like an earth lead issue assuming they have a common earth for all the systems in the tailgate. You need to check for continuity between the earth on the motor and the main body. Check the fuses for the systems and the wiring where it leaves the tailgate and enters the roof, the only point that would suffer from mechanical stresses and strains.

Quite right, although it may have been upgraded to BMW DVD Mk3 like I did to my own...I forget how ancient the old CD-ROM nav is! Same applies though, check the CD-ROM disc and for water ingress. |

Just trying to make things crystal clear for the OP as he is obviously a new buyer/member and will probably be searching the forum/wiki for answers... The mention of a DVD may throw his searching into a turmoil Weejock... That was my reasoning sir |
