So, I have ordered a new Range Rover for delivery in December (January probably)..

So I am thinking, should I wait and get one in March on the new plates... I will have to wait 4 months (ish) so whats another 1 and 1/2 months.

Anyone know the earliest I can order for the new plate in March ..?

I would have thought your dealer would be able to just defer the existing order to March if that's what you want to do.

I would just defer it until January. Then at least you've got a 2016 car, which has some significance. Would be a shame not to enjoy the new Range Rover in the key winter months of January and February.... 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

It will hold its value slightly better on new plates. Stupid but true.

The dealer might have something to do say about it if you have negotiated a discount as it might form part of their 2015 target sales and they might need it registered in December to get a bonus (this is when you can generally get the biggest discounts).

Yes, wait until March. Then decide to wait until September because then it will then have the 66 plate. Then decide�. Oh forget it. Unless you want to only keep the car for a year, the difference is not worth it. And you don�t intend to actually drive it and put miles on it, do you? � that would be terrible for value . I think with those time scales I'd ask them to wait to register it in January.

I had a similar position with my wife's SLK although it was made a little easier as it was ready beginning of August so we waited until 1/9 for the new reg.

It's funny when they you are buying they'll tell you it makes very little difference, yet when it comes to selling it's a different matter.
