United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Java Black
any advice appreciated

hi FFRR members, seen Vogue and going have a look, it details the following has been done in the past 4 weeks, by LR technicians.. its got full LR service history.. 1 owner? its a 2006 Vogue.. 85,000... looks good on paper but so does fish and chips.

ive already established its had the fron diff replaced as a LR recall so thats a plus

this is what ive been told "6 new injectors fitted, inlet manifold system & EGR valves cleaned & fully de-carbonised and new rear lower & top bushes fitted in last 4 weeks.. is this just the start of problems? or a remedy.. anything else i should be asking and looking at taking into account tgis has been done

Any advice greatly appreciated and i reaslise its only advice/personal experience.

Just as an aside.. this site and the knowledge of its members helped me walk away from a RR Vogue the other day. the guy said its the most thorough test he has ever seen anyone give a car, i took the wiki buyers guide and the info within. on my ipad.... WOW WOW wow, all so accurate and helped me form a walk away opinion.. thanks all of you for you advise. Hence still looking

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Zermatt Silver

Petrol or diesel?

Is it a facelift model? There were some fairly big changes from 2006 to 2007 model year vehicles - see here http://www.fullfatrr.com/wiki/Range_Rover_L322

Have you seen invoices for the injectors EGR work etc? Can you check directly with the garage concerned and ask their opinion of the vehicle?

I could understand someone spending money on the injectors and EGR and then selling the vehicle as a non-runner would have very limited appeal, but why would you spend money on rear bushes and sell so soon afterwards? (I guess it could have been to rectify an MOT failure)

I would be suspicious if the seller had incurred 'discretionary' expenditure and is selling so soon afterwards without a good reason for sale. 2007 Zermatt Silver TDV8 Vogue SE - now sold but was a great car!

impressed Graeme, thank you

hi graham, its a garage sale who appear to have a very good reputation to be fair and honest? the RR been taken in as a trade in. its 2006 56 plate, still has ignition in the centre console. Its had a new full MOT... and the bushes were a failure. Thank you very much for taking the time to advise me.
