They have different frequencies and also coding formats. only one or two types work in the UK IIRC.

ere-750 surely if you are buying one off someone on the forum that has being using it on their car then it would work for you too? or am i missing something ?

I'd read that and personally, didn't find it benefited my knowledge of range rover tv tuners. To be honest, a better understanding would be gained from reading about PAL, SECAM and NTSC - but it's beyond the scope of this topic.

But PAL, SECAM and NTSC are analogue so not relevant.

*Sigh* PAL and NTSC may be analogue terms, but since many of their specs carried over into digital transmission in terms of frame dimension and frame rates etc, the compatibility issues haven't gone away. Hence Pal Digital, NTSC digital.

Another important part is to check if your country is using mpeg2 or mpeg4. Ffrr digital hybrid tuners only work with mpeg2. |
