Buzz was on the R4 Today programme this morning, so was alive and kicking a couple of hours ago. |

its red(ish) its convertable, its fast, and looks nice, it appeals to many people, drivers/non-drivers, it's easy to sell on. what's not to like. parts availability, (here) plus import taxes, (on parts) parhaps, the fibreglass body, (repared?) MPG, cries of, 'medallion man' whilst 'coffee shaking' a fist?

On Car SOS they recently brought one back to life and it got me thinking about having a project myself and my son is old enough to have an interest in it as well.

Johnboy, that sounds like the special flowmaster mufflers for the Corvette.A bit to much for me though |

I'm having a full Flowmaster system fitted to my '71 Mach 1. The cost is eye watering but I'm told it'll be worth it. Si. <This is my name.

Bellini, the car I just signed for comes with a set of new flowmasters but as parts. The original ones are on the car and nearly new, so wonder if I should get them on????

they are always ok... at the beginning..(wife) onto the garage, bear in mind that some garages for rent do not allow tinkering let alone mechanical work. however, (dont know where you are) have you thought of asking people in circles of classics, about farm storage. i have similar problem, too many old cars, and nowhere to work easily on them. bar one place. i have found a few places, like barn storage, where guys sort of work on a farm, and noise isnt a problem. price negociable. make sure the electrics are good, otherwise welding is not going to be easy, (tripping) and air compressors. the worst offender, the grinder, is your enemy ....and obviously fires from welding. You will need lots of lighting. so ask what you can and cant do...ie add lights, have guests with you etc. some are real funny! |
