OBD Codes - P0036 & 56

My car is having problems (see other posts!) with revs hunting a low speeds (30mph) and on slight load (up slight hills).

I have just got a code reader and its showing :

P0036
P0056

Anyone know what the causes of this might be - also is the code P0136 the same as P0036?

Thanks

Simon. Range Rover Vogue 4.4 (2003)

Thanks. If I do an O2 sensor scan I sometimes get:

B1 S1 - OK
B1 S2 - OK
B2 S1 - OK
B2 S2 - OK

Then other times I get

B1 S1 - Not present
B1 S2 - OK
B2 S1 - OK
B2 S2 - OK

Would a faulty O2 sensor cause the revs to hunt and cause the car to judder at low revs? Range Rover Vogue 4.4 (2003)

i would think that if the o2 sensor was playing around then the mixture would be all over the place on that side...the ecu would be adjusting it to compensate, this could cause the hunting.. thats my thoughts but lets see what other members have to say... V8 facelift Range Rover Autobiography 22" wheels.

I experienced a faulty O2 sensor earlier in the year which pretty much shut down the RR and defaulted to a 'get me home' setting.

On a positive note they only cost about 80 quid but usually fail in pairs (apparently) Smile 2005 Audi A8 W12

I had endless problems with 2 of the o2 sensors on my Maserati, revs were all over the place, limp home mode quite often, (370bhp and could only do 50mph tops Sad ) In the end, I had to buy genuine Ferrari ones as they were cheaper than identical Maserati ones, a snip at £239 each Sad 2006 Mercedes CLS
