Adaptive cruise? Horrible feature.
I (used to) use cruise everywhere, loved it, wouldn't buy a car without it. You could set the right speed, plan your gaps and overtakes, sit back and relax
Adaptive cruise is the only thing that ruins my rangie - no matter what you do, some will pullout in front of you, and even with the gap set to minimum the car slows down. Really annoying. Worse still is when I had it on a merc s type I borrowed, was in centre lane in heavy traffic, had left the cruise on. Crawling forward at 30ish, as the traffic started to clear they guy ahead was movingly slowly trying to move to the left, next thing I know, he's moved across and the merc floored it down two lanes of slow moving traffic.
Much better off with proper, standard cruise control imho. __________________
