Fuel wouldn't ignite like that, and surely if something left the turbine housing at such speed as to be able to break out of it then there would have been more bits as the whole assembly became imbalanced and made more contact with bits and more got shed off?

jet a1 will ignite without too much trouble IME , aluminium and its alloys will burn at relatively low temps |

I thought it had to vapourise or mist to be flammable at low temps? FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's

It stood up well then for that wing to not have blown out entirely then looking at those pictures of the fuselage and wing section that caught FFRR MY06 facelift With TDV8 Alloys Zeros/ATR's
