Strange because if the parking sensors are disabling, the car obviously knows a trailer is there, so i would have thought it would cut out the rear fogs on the car too, seems to work on mine. Do the fog lights on the trailer work? Very small trailers don't have fog lights, so it's possible if the car doesn't sense a load on the fog light pin from the trailer it doesn't disable the car fog lamps.

13 pin electrics........ locks the car in normal height, sort of, depends on whether you have normal light bulbs in your trailer or led's. It uses the LCM to trigger the ride height, parking sensors etc. If there is not enough resistance on the circuit, then it will do nothing |

all i did was set the "towball fitted - on" with my IID that seemed to activate it all. Isn't the towball option within the Parking sensor menu though?

Fish, I suspect that you don't have a genuine LR / Westfalia electrics, as they are plug and play, there is no programming required, you just plug in and it does what it's supposed to. But every other by-pass relay will need to be programmed to make the functions work. However before you run off and have it programmed, I would leave it well alone and live with the fog lights and PDC, cos I personally think that the gearbox works better as standard, especially if you've a big tintent with some weight in it |

If the westfalia towing electrics don't need the car to be told they are there, what does the towball on/off setting in the CCF do? |

Tow ball on/off in the ccf is, I suspect for non genuine electrics. When I brought my westfalia 13 pin wiring kit, it said that it was plug and play with no programming required, and it was right. I don't have a IID tool, but I have all the towing functions that are supposed to be there, height lock, gearbox |

The only thing is though, i can't see Land-Rover designing their cars with the ability to use non-genuine parts, i mean they want you to buy their stuff.

I think the CCF on different model years has different functions.

I have genuine parts, I changed from 7pin to 13 pin myself. I'm not too bothered about what does and doesn't work really, I was just comparing mine to chefkenmores.
