Hitting seat memory button disabled remote central locking

Experienced odd behaviour from my key today. Parked up somewhere today and after getting out I reached over the driver's seat to grab something off the passenger seat and my thigh accidentally activated one of the seat memory buttons. This caused the seat, mirrors and steering column to adjust as you would expect. I decided to lock the car and adjust the seat back to my settings on my return. At this point I found I was no longer able to lock the car with the remote. None of the key buttons did anything. I decided to try a "turn it off and on again" and started the car and switched the engine off again. I was then able to lock the car with the remote but when I returned to the car it would not unlock again. In the end I had to manually unlock the driver's door with the key and unlock the other doors with the dash button. Once home I was able to lock the car remotely in the normal way.

Knowing the seat memory buttons are linked to the keys I tried various combinations of locking the car with one key and opening with another including pressing the memory buttons to try any replicate the problem but without success and everything works fine now.

Anyone else experience this problem? It's the first time it's happened in the three years I've had the car but I admit I never use the memory buttons as I'm the only driver of the vehicle. 2012 Vogue 4.4 TDV8 automatic (LHD), Santorini Black
