Venture Cam

When I bought my car I thought the Venture Cam was a completely useless, but cool gadget.

After six monthes of ownership I've finally found a use for it........ pointed at the rear facing baby seat, my wife and I can see if anything is wrong with the new addition to the family.

Imagine my disappointment when as we set off the camera turned off.......... f**king ace! Now confirmed as the most pointless gadget.

How can this camera be enabled all the time. Is it in the software like the Sat Nav? Stratstone Newcastle refused to activate the Sat Nav in motion for me.

Any assistance would be gratefully received. FYI my car is an 05 Autobiography with touch screen.

I had seen a post on here stating that a software setting could be changed to allow destinations to be inputted into Sat Nav whilst on the move (permanently). I asked Stratstone to do this for me and I was told that it was a safety feature and they weren't prepared to do it......... at the time the car was in for warranty work and they were probably not interested to much in carrying out extra work FOC.

Interesting that your venture cam works all the time.

To input destination whilst on the move I have to use the 'hack'.
Venture cam works all the time the battery lasts [have to remember to switch it off after the horses are off the trailer!] - but yes on the move it works.

somthing wrong there I'm afraid...... VentureCam is always meant to be used in motion - you strap it down by the wheels to see which way they are pointing, the decided if its the same way you want to go ...Smile

if it's turning off when you move off - would suggest it needs a kick, or a tweak from your dealer.
