Wheel Lock Nut Key - Location

Hi All.

Dumbest question of the day, but there is a reason I promise.

Where would the wheel locking nut key normally be kept on the L322. - As explicit a description as you can offer please.

Now the reason. - I am in London and both my car and my wife are in Bradford. The car needs a tyre, the wife needs no excuses! - I have arranged for a man with a tyre, but of course he will need to remove the wheel.

All help gratefully recieved...man with tyre comes tomorrow (Friday) so I need to give the wife instructions to find the key tonight.

Cheers

Mark.

Next to the spare wheel, on the right, is the wheel chocks. It should be located there.

But then could be in the glove box. Regards

It could be anywhere in a 9 year old car Laughing

I used to keep mine in the glovebox. I've also seen them kept in the boot, as you face the front, on the left under floor compartment - or in a little bag/tool roll in the tyre compartment - near right corner

I think, it SHOULD be kept on the actual (regular) nut spanner, taped to the handle. that is where you would definitely realise you need it, and can not really use it without seeing it.

mine is in the same place, as the nuts, -the bin!

i've just taken mine off and replaced them with normal nuts. Given how difficult it is to jack up the car and get the wheels off the floor they should be fairly difficult to nick anyway.

But literally it could be anywhere in there. When i bought mine someone had put it in the centre console. But i think there is a hole in the middle of the wheel chocks for it to go in.

Mine has always been kept in the toolroll which sits in the dish of the spare wheel.

Mine in here

Censored annoying thing and not worth the bother . I alway replace mine with ordinary nuts and good luck to any scroat who thinks he can get it off the ground and the wheel off . 2008 MY Supercharged

As said above, the “correct” placement would be in the foam triangle inside the wheel chocks (RHS by spare wheel) but there are lots of places people keep them Rolling Eyes

One NOT mentioned above Whistle On the oldest model so 02-06 there is a small pocket under the headlight switch, we sometimes find them in there... Thumbs Up

That was exactly my thinking. And then they have to carry them away somehow!
