help needed guys newbie here 2003 4.4 vogue
dash showing these faults after around twenty mins of driving susp sticks at standard height etc nothing happend recently apart from rear wiper stopped working and just buzzing on start up but im sure it was happening before that , have read so much on these faults and what it could be , so decided to take to local independant who assured me he was in the know with rrs and had dealer level diagnostics etc , 400 pounds of investigation later still no further forward (apart from new abs pump suggestion at 2500 !!!) and his mechanic told me he was waiting for landrover tech support to call him?
not waht i needed to hear anyone know of some one who knows rrs in cambridgeshire or near who can help ????
dont want to just go through main dealer throw parts at it until it stops scenario

so do you have a range rover sport or a vogue?

Could well be the air pump.

As Stan says the battery charge is very important on them. Take the car home and check the battery with a meter, put on for a full charge and see if your getting 12.5 volts. should be 14.5 when charging I think.

A hard reset can also help after a low battery, remove both cables, wait 20 mins, then join both cables together for 5 mins to completely short, discharge the capacitors. Then reconnect the battery and see what happens.

Check for corrosion on the pins inside the abs unit. I had all the lights come on once and the MD said "new ABS unit required" -£1200. On checking it myself I saw a little green corrosion on one pin. They hadn't even looked at it!

Cleaned with toothbrush and electrical contact cleaner and all good 4 yrs later!

Where in Cambridgeshire ?

As said above - multiple unrelated error messages is usually a duff battery

So update from independent he says its def abs pump, quizzed him about pressure switches, abs sensors, wiring and contacts and also battery, but he says he's checked power supply's and wiring and so forth but it's saying its a supply fault at the pump and Land Rover tech support say it's a common fallout change the pump 1500 plus labour !!!!
But I'm still just not sure and to be honest the independent doesn't sound 100 percent to me either , but I need it rectified for mot as it failed on these warning lights and a tire ! Collecting it back tonight just under 400 for time spent looking ,
And yes rr vogue 4.4 80k full service history from stratstones !

1 get yourself an IID tool - it will be money well invested and would be much less than the 400 you've outlaid already (there are other tools available for home diagnostics)

2 if it does need a new abs module , get a second hand one from ebay (about £100) , make sure all part numbers are same , they are quite easy to change out .

Just a question, are we talking about the 'abs pump' or the 'abs module' faulty here?

I reckon the ABS module needs a good look at/clean out. They collect water due to the design!

Take it out of the holder and look inside at the connections.

The reason I say this is that the fault lights display is almost the same as mine and as described earlier a simple brush out with a toothbrush cured all!

re pump or module , most people change out both if there is an issue , most sellers (ebay) sell them combined together

i had this keep comeing up on mine.

Had the 4 wheel alignment done and alls been well

Did you find what the problem was? I agree about the battery disconnection solving most warning notices, along with the steering wheel full left/full right to reset. I once realised I was trying to change ride height while the orange light on the rotary switch was on (automatic ride height) - but I assume I'm the only one who doesn't read the owners manual properly...
