EGR valves replaced

While the car was in the main dealer to have the brake hose recall sorted, I decided to have the EGR valves replaced. They may not have needed doing but I like to try and nip things in the bud.

I was occasionally getting a P140A DTC (erg sensor C - circuit low) after I had been stuck in a queue of slow-moving traffic for some time. I would first feel the car start to idle roughly but then, once moving properly, it was fine. Shortly afterwards the P140A would appear but there were no other symptoms whatsoever and the car behaved normally until the next queue of traffic.

Anyway, I like to get things sorted as soon as, so while it was in, I asked the dealer to check it and they said it was occasionally sticking and obviously best to replace and, of course, you might as well do both! So I did but got them down to £750 fitted which I thought was a reasonable deal.

The car has behaved without issue for the last eighteen months and 25000 miles, so I can't complain. MY 2007 3.6 TDV8 Vogue SE

How many miles all up, and do you do mostly city driving?

Has anyone removed the tdv8 EGRs and cleaned them? ______________________________

I think the seeds were sown before I bought it as in the previous 5 years before I bought it, it only did 12,000 miles and I'm pretty sure most of those were probably local trips.

I'm still not 100% sure it needed doing but I don't like faults, no matter how infrequent:) MY 2007 3.6 TDV8 Vogue SE
