[Wanted] 3.6 tdv8 Engine wanted

I am looking for a 3.6 tdv8 Engine complete, or a damaged car with a running engine to break.

Please drop me a PM if you can assist.

Thanks

its a Rangie I bought with a top end knock, that runs perfectly, but has a knock, its not injectors or Knock sensors and its hard to be firm on where the knock is from, so if someone had an engine it would just be a simple repair or we will keep digging till we find the cause or I will break it, which would be a shame given its a clean motor.

My brother in law put in an offer but I guess you beat him to it.

From the looks of it, it would be a shame to break it. Would you consider moving it on if you can't find a resolution? Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue

Yes potentially. It's a good motor good history and clean and tidy, I knew the last owner hence took it on.

Alan

if you or anyone else who has contacted me, has an interest in the car "as is" with a knocking engine which is coming from the right hand bank, it still starts runns and would drive. please get in touch, I am happy to pass it on for what it now owes me which is around £7000, with the new parts as fitted, other wise we will crack on and pull the unit on Friday then embark on a rebuild of the engine or replacement if I can find a trusted Exchange engine builder!

To be honest, I doubt he would throw £7k at a car that cost £5k, or less and still has the same issue as it had when you bought it. I appreciate you've fitted several parts in an attempt to track the problem down, but nevertheless, the problem still persists. Now, it could be that it's nothing serious and at £5k, it was worth a punt, but at £7k, its starting to look less attractive.
I wish you luck in whichever path you choose Thumbs Up Got - 2017 SDV8 Autobiography in Loire Blue
