I'm a fan, easy viewing, and good tips if a slightly brash/obvious nature to proceedings. That said, loathe the latest american focus taken up by the shows; kills a key part of the appeal for me...

/\ no but a lad in the office said it turned out 'sort of cool for a small 4x4'. Aparently they painted it green with sand in the paint?

I saw the Defender episode a few days ago and have to say that was some transformation - to the point where I have decided my project car for my 50th birthday is gone be a defender not a RR classic.

Anyone seen this site?

I find it enjoyable. And it gave me the courage to do a little tinkering. I'm quite impressed with Edd's skills.

The Panda was going OK until the paint, nice of them to paint it in braille so that everyone can appreciate it Rolling with laughter Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

It looked pretty much like the type of paint that they moaned about and spent so much time and effort removing from that L322.

At least that young lass won't have to worry about making the paint look a mess when off roading. 2011 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.4 TDV8

I like it as a programme. Easy to watch and has a lot of my favourite cars. Just a shame they don't really restore them so much as fix 'em up.Nice to see the end result but probably wouldn't buy one of theirs.

Liked the old E Type they did though in spite of Brewer banging on about what a bargain he'd got in that sorry looking, V12 2+2 hard top. Probably the least desirable E Type ever and when you factored in Ed's time he made a proper loss on it.

I hindsight I think I preferred Mark Evans' series "A Car is Born". Proper one bloke with a few helpers doing full on restorations and builds. More in touch with reality which WD isn't really. They rarely make a profit on WD when one looks at the time involved and it reminds me of an old expression from a motor trader I know. "If you want to make a small fortune in used cars then start with a big fortune"

Oh, and will someone please send Ed to the barber shop...What a Mop Top. Laughing

I think that Mr China has gone bald and the only wig they could find was in the cleaners cupboard Laughing

As for the paint, I think that you will find it was non slip swimming pool paint.

Where as the ffrr was probably just a very bad spray job with lots of orange peel and over spray, or it might have been stone chip Shocked Either way the person who did it would probably enjoy feeling the colour of the panda Rolling with laughter

Suffice it to say that the sort of people who would ruin a ffrr in that sort of way, have probably gained the money to fund it from dodgy chemical deals, pity that they had obviously been sampling their own goods before placing the order for the work to be done Wink Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... I watch it pretty avidly, watch any car show avidly tbh........

My favourite ones were the Morgan and the silver TVR they did where they did a complete re-chassis of the cars. Pretty good spannering skills involved there methinks.

I do like seeing the bits where Ed splits a ball joint where there has been obvious "tinkering" beforehand so it just pops out! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
