LR MDs aren't the only rubbish service providers! GRRR! | |
I suppose it's good in one way to know that service isn't just the reserve of LR (and many other independant) dealers!!!
During a recent attempted burglary we were a little fortunate that my daughters quad wouldn't start so they abandoned it in a culvert at the end of the lane and took off on foot. Incentally, they were also unable to start my Polaris 6 wheeler after making such a dogs dinner of the ignition switch so left this as well, complete with it loaded to the hilt with chainsaws etc, at the end of the lane. They certainly weren't particularly bright criminals but still did enough to cause hassle.
This reminds me - while I'm on about pants service - the Police were called out at 2.00am to a house down the road where said thieves were disturbed and took off. They attended and then drove straight back out of the valley before breaking down in their brand new Police van. Meanwhile, 1/2 mile from the disturbed address the same idiot crims managed to ditch their car whilst trying to park up and spent the rest of the night desperately trying to find transport out of our valley which has zero mobile phone reception - hence trying to take our quads (they filled mine to the brim with petrol so obviously thought they were going to go far). They were caught up the valley on CCTV at 5.20am in a friends farm yard - 3 of them in camoflage - but the Police never bothered to collect the CCTV which clearly had at least one mug-shot.
I know it's all about money but the Police truly are utterly useless nowadays - perhaps if we'd have informed them the criminals may have been speeding they'd have spent all night looking for them
Anyway, I digress - back on subject. We bought my daughters quad from a company in Bathgate and at the time were promised full back up with spares etc. So, I rang them this morning telling them that I was looking for a new started chain. "Sorry sir, we don't recognise that part!" came the reply. "Ok, so what do we do next then?" says I. "We can't help you - try having a look on Ebay. Goodbye" said the lady (make that female person ).
They still advertise full spares back-up for their new products which is clearly a lie
I've managed to identify it as 25H chain and have ordered a length of it complete with rivet tool so it isn't any huge hardship but..........how can companies get away with blatantly lying at the point of sale and then just washing their hands of it when support is needed?
Perhaps LR have been running courses for other industries
Rant over - and breathe!!!!!
