Might have been DPF ?Maybe doing a cycle when on motorway. |

Yes, that could well have been it - can't dind anything about it in owners manual, do you mind telling me what it is? I did also notice a big of smoke coming from exhausts when joining the motorway. What does DPF Full mean?

Diesel Particulates Filter... they collect all the soot then burn it off.... Pete

DPF's basically just collect up all the black soot. Eventually they'd just clog up and block the exhaust, so they have to regenerate to clear them selves.

DPF as explained above, but to add. The particulate filter holds particulates collected when your engine is cold or at low revs and then when you go on a main road/motorway for a prolonged period the particulate filter heats up and burns off all the particulates gathered up after your last faster trip.
