Replacing old L322 with L405.. Delivery Nov?

Hi All,
After a long absence (just busy with work and farm) I'm back! Embarassed
The "old" L322 has been great for the last 7 years, but I fancied a change...

So the one pictured above is going and I've ordered a Christmas Tree - with everything on it..
Vogue SDV8, Waitomo Grey, Cirrus Leather and Piano Black.
Spec is in the picture:

Hopefully an early Christmas present to self...

Not actually seen Waitomo Grey on a FFRR, but felt Corris Grey was very popular and that everything else was too silver or black.. Confused

Hopefully it won't show the dirt too much..

Any comments? Quick Poll? Wink

Muddy Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 - L405 (now sadly sold)
BMW i3 (fantastic little runabout)
Kioti NX6010 Tractor
Yamaha Big Bear ATV
And a whole heap of other kit...

Thanks. Have saved a bit, had some good years and some lean ones over last 7 years - but decided that now is as good a time as any.
If the L405 is as good as my L322 has been - I'll be a very happy man.
Cost of ownership of my existing FFRR has been good - since it gets used off road and on - tows, gets mucky - and then acts as a limo...
Can't really complain.

Upgrade the stereo and lose the HUD. Adaptive headlights are amazing.

I was exactly where you are a couple of months ago. My 7 year old L322 is currently on Autotrader (for a lot more than I sold it for, but there you go!)

Your spec looks great. I would agree that it's worth getting the top of the range Meridian system if you can stretch for it. I also have the parallel parking feature but after watching a video of it on youtube where it looks quite brutal, I've never used it. There are so many cameras on the car, that it's almost a pleasure parking it into a tight place.

I wish mine had the traffic sign recognition - I'm always wondering what the speed limit is and if the car can pick that up when I miss it, then great.

The electric deployable tow bar is also a fantastic option - I love it.

I never thought I would need the blind spot warning, but it is comforting to know it's there. It's not too obtrusive either.

Exciting - bet you can't wait! 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

Last point first, the deal was a good and fair one - thanks to Kentdale
It would not be fair to discuss that publicly - but they are worth a call. 😉
There is a backlog of orders at present, so there is around a 5 month delay... Hence the end November date.

The Stereo is the Meridian Surround Sound (825W) with 17 Speakers - is that the upgrade you refer to?
The HUD works reasonably well - especially if you do a lot of night driving (most of my long journeys are) so think that stays...
I didn't choose Adaptive Headlights because I had them in a Disco3 and actually they were the only thing to fail in 4 years of ownership...
The standard headlights on the L322 are great..

Given your comments pixelpower, what's your reasoning/experience?... you might persuade me.. Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 - L405 (now sadly sold)

Honest answer is no I can't wait! 😳
I'm embarrassed to say that on this particular matter I'm like a 12-year-old kid trapped in a 53-year-olds body!
Very excited...
Regards the top of the range Merdian system is that the one with 17 speakers?
I tried the parallel park and perpendicular park in a demo vehicle on a factory day.
Was very impressed, but also means that someone else (mentioning no names) may decide she can park it too... if she gets to drive it!! Shocked
Traffic sign recognition because I've been caught out a few times missing signs - especially the ones that used to be National speed limit applies - now down to 40 mph and the 40mph to 30mph changes that seem to be everywhere... not sure if it works, but if it helps prevent points etc...
Electric deployable towbar just beats having to crawl under... getting older and creakier these days, so when I saw just how well the electric one worked - it was a no brainer.

Can't wait... Range Rover Vogue SE SDV8 - L405 (now sadly sold)

Long story - but don't believe what the configurator tells you... It's not that accurate..
Just noticed that this revers to Solar Glass - that and Privacy Glass was already ordered - so seems to work together.
The only accurate way is from Vista (the dealer system) - that shows they are able to be ordered together...
