I notice your van has the same as TV aerial as mine - when the reception is good the picture is great but I've been in a few places where the signal is not so good and I can't even get a picture. Those lights are great, I have one he same myself, run off the electric socket in the wet locker, it's very bright! Ideal for a large porch awning, and mine came with clips to attach it to the awning rail. There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜

Exactly that! Also runs off 12v , I run an extension cable from the wet locker to power the lamp and heater!
Jury is still out on the ariel! As you say, when it works it's great! We normally go to caravan club sites where you can use their ariel system, but buccaneer have dropped the ariel and gone back to status!!

I bought a Quicksat system to overcome the deficiencies in the Avtex aerial !! Plus point was when we were in France we got al the 'home channels' !!

Never had a problem with the directional status aerial on my van
I have a Maxview portable dish for sat, but tbh I haven't used it for a while, tends to just get taken to Le Mans so we can get Eurosport for the live race commentary in the tent, works well but I always seem to be pitched near trees! There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
