Best time of year to sell a RR?

Any thoughts on the best time of year to sell a Range Rover? I had mine on Autotrader for a while but couldn't quite get the price I wanted. August doesn't seem like a great time to be selling as everyone's away on their hols. I think I will leave it until September.

4x4's always sell better in Winter, especially after there has been snow fall.

On the other hand you might just be asking too much for it, we've all done it.

Yes, I was asking too much, but I am holding off re-advertising until there are more people about. On the other hand, maybe people are on holiday and keen to look at cars?

It's true people will be on their summer holidays and will be paying for those too.

But 4x4's sell better in winter, just like convertibles sell better in summer.

I just wonder if; given that there are so many 4x4 and convertibles available now, whether it makes a significant difference?

I think it does, during winter people start to see snow and bad weather on the news, or they decide that a 4x4 would be better for their ski trips than the estate car. So it makes more people look at 4x4's where they might not have considered one in summer. Just like few people's minds are going to be on driving with the top down when they're scraping ice off the windscreen.

When it's snowing !!

Or at least when the weather is bad...

I was quite shocked to see our local Indy with a number of full fats and sports at very high prices....and lots of people looking!

a 57 plate Vogue with 101k is up at £19,950. It's a basic clean car in Buckingham with 19" wheels and no frills. They said that they had someone coming to see it and behold.....at 5pm yesterday it went around the back of their garage with a sold sign.... Is this where I put the car details and a bit about myself ?........

It's crazy really. A front wheel drive car with skinny winter tyres will be far better than a 4x4 with 22" summer road tyres!
