Shocked Shocked Censored Hell, I didn't know that JLR did led's Shocked Shocked

That is a very over priced lot of T10 led bulbs, example.........

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2pcs-White-T10-5...540959a400

the whole car for £9, without even trying, however I would look at each lamp and decide if the light comes from the side or the front of the bulb, as leds are biased to front / side

thanks miggit, i was under the impression they must be all different bulb fitments all over the car hence the "kit" price.

from what your saying i take it all interior bulbs are T10 fitment!

Don't quote me on it, but all the interior lamps that I have dealt with so far are W5W T10 bulbs like the front side lamps and indicator repeaters.
Foot wells, knee, tailgate, door bottoms are all the same bulb, but the knee lamps point straight out so it's the end that's providing the light, where as the rest are on their side. You can get loads of different shapes and output T10 bulbs, some are flat and only light from the side, some are like a torch, and then there are the ones that I posted the link for. They are more of an all rounder, but they will not perform as well as the biased ones. You can also get the flat panel lamps that have a remote lead, these are super bright, many of us have used them as reversing lamp upgrades.
My best advise is to look at each bulb and determine the way it shines and get an led to suit, if your not in a rush, get them from China (3-4 weeks) and if you don't like them it's only cost you a couple of quid! I brought 4 different types to put in my front lamps, a tight fit but worth it.

Oh and lastly you do not need canbus error free bulbs for the interior, it's only the road worthiness lamps that are monitored, i.e. side lamps, number plate, etc. Yesterday I couldn't spell Engineer... Today I are one!

Thanks I've ordered 10x t10 flat one side bulbs and 4x torch front facing type t10s.

Got the lot for just over a tenner. Hopefully that will do most of the interior and puddle lights and much cheaper than I originally thought. Great stuff

I fitted blue LED's in the interior (bought a "kit" from China) but also some white LED's for the map, side, boot and number plate lights - the blue is really good at night and gets lots of comments - leaving the glovebox and map lights white is a good idea, coz if you fit the blue ones you cant read or see anything (I found that out the hard way in my last car) Rolling with laughter I also found the number plate bulbs will "roll" and as they are single sided "festoons" and need gently rotated back into position every now and again - i'll put a tiny blob of silicone in there one day when I remember
