Seats

My 322 is now 4 years old and I am getting lustful feelings to change, the only difference between a vogue and an SE that I care about are the seats, spunking an additional £7k just for more adjustment seems excessive. Anyone have a view on how much better the SE seats are and any of the other benefits worth anything. I am sure I can live without mood lighting. letters not necessarily in the right order

I'm fairly new to the FFR world, but couldn't you just buy an SE interior?

Vogue seats are Oxford leather with colour coded stitching.

Vogue SE seats are semi aniline leather with contrast stitching.

Personally semi aniline is notably nicer and more plush but others wouldn't notice!

Adaptive cruise control is nice too!

And the standard sound system on the Vogue is terrible. Utterly horrifically bad.

Most things are upgradable - but there will also be some 2nd hand impact - I wanted cooled seats - well, my wife did - so I only looked for VSE & AB's - I wouldn't waste my time reading every Vogue ad to see if they had them.

I also agree on the basic sound system - the middle one (& standard on VSE) is the starting point Thumbs Up

One would expect nothing less from your Imperial Majesty.
Style 6 seats are a grand option which have the seat cushion extension that I like and are cooled for a hot seat cover.
Trying to understand the advantage of semi aniline leather. letters not necessarily in the right order

semi aniline is much softer but does not appear to show signs of wear as you might expect with a soft material.

I must admit the small bits that get stuck in the aniline holes of the cooled seats do my 'ed in.

Once you have cooed seats you won't go back. Thumbs Up 405 AB exec seats Baltic and Cirrus

I have to admit that I slated them as a complete waste of time in my last car.

They were #1 non-negotiable must have for my wife - so I got them again.

On this car I've been using them all the time in the warm weather Thumbs Up My car is in Bordeaux and I'm flying back & forth weekly at the moment & there is something very nice about cooling the seats & avoiding a sweaty back.

I'm converted Thumbs Up

Have to say, after having an L322 Vogue SE (when an SE really was a top spec and I paid an extra £4k second hand to get this level) I decided I was not going to pay extra for loads of toys I would not use again so opted for the standard Vogue spec. Subsequently though, I must say I miss my adjustable seats - mainly the ability to adjust the whole middle upper part backward and forward whilst leaving the lower back in its original position ( and also my, then, top of the range 1500watt HK Logic 7 system which makes my current 390watt Meridian distinctly average - in LR terms anyway). Other than that, not fussed about loads of extras that I won't use, but miss my seats although not as comfy as my current ones (softer leather now it seems). Steve
