Billings Landrover Event

I've never been to this event even when I owned various Discos. Has anyone on this forum been to it? Is it worth the trip for RR owners?
I know I've just asked an objective question about something subjective but there you go.

Billing is geared up for the ' off roader' in mind, great for getting new kit for the landy, from chassis to wheels/ tyres to many winches and all manner of kit you will need for the serious off road events out there to play in.
Mrs WD and I always went at the height of our sport to the end as we went for the social time. Many good times had and great deals had too.
Its worth going once for the crack if you like the dirty stuff ......just don't take the FF on the off road course on road tyres if you don't want to be laughed at..... Wink If it dont work.......burn it!

If the IId tool cant fix it.......burn the FF.

If the FF cant be fixed......buy a Land Cruiser!

If the LC cant be fixed..............................................BUY a horse !!

I've decided I'm going for two reasons; firstly I need a bloke's day out and secondly it means I'm not available that weekend to be dragged around Dunelm!

We've been a few times and loved the show and social side. This was in the early years of owning my 110 and when we were seriously into the overland camping modified LR thing.

It's well worth going, although it was the continued security issues that eventually put us off staying there overnight.

The off-road course is great fun but you may find yourself rather conspicuous in an L322, especially if you get it stuck.

We found the atmosphere at Peterboroigh better and Eastnor by far the nicest but Billing is somewhat of a rite of passage for LR folk. You must do it. Si. <This is my name.

Is anyone on this forum attending Billing on the Saturday? Unless it buckets down I'm going to make the trip. It would be nice to meet another forum member(s).

Just got back. Definitely one for the hardcore Land Rover fans but I enjoyed it none the less. I'm regretting selling my run around Disco now after seeing all the pumped up ones at the show. I didn't find any of the bits I was looking for, however it was worth the trip from Cheshire to see the Defenders and Discos'.
I only took a few photos -

The best Classic I saw at the show

Something not to my taste

The G4 L322

Lots of L322's dotted amongst the tents as well.
