75k service time

Well, I purchased the ff nearly a year ago now, and as the anti corrosion warrantee runs out in a few months I thought would book it in early to see if i can get a couple of small bits on the rear arches done, Seems to be a usual thing. Its also having the brake hose recall done as well. 74k when purchased, 75k a year later, the oil still looks new. Laughing

Thought I give it a main dealer service to keep up the full service history. And really hoping they sort the rust bubbles.

Wish me luck.

Steve. You remind me of a young me, not much younger mind, perhaps even a little older!

It was the way she said, "we don't do major services on Saturdays in case we find any big problems"

To which I thought, problems or not, your not getting any more cash out of me. To be fair I have used mk land rover before, not for service but the parts department for my old disco and have always been good and have always given me a big discount on parts.

One thing to prepare for with the rear arches is any suggestion that road debris peppering the arches has been the cause of any paint failure, hence a declined warranty claim. So why did they manufacture them with rubber arch protector strips and actually,is there metal within the factory rubber arch strips?

Well, service done, brake hose recall done and even washed.

Dealer seemed hopeful that all my issues will be sorted, will know after the weekend when jlr get back to them. they took pictures to submit.

Had a new jag for the day, I must say i don't like the circular gear knob. Apart from that the jag was a nice car. Good to be back in the range rover though.

Great service from mk landrover.

just had my rear arches done and the chap told me not to put the rubber protectors back on ? he said best to wash round them because of the amount off dirt that had built up. dont know what to do now? on or off

Even if land rover don't do the work, i will book it in to have them done, with the milage i do it won't affect it again so not so worried about that.

As fas as the rubbers go, they are just a trap for grit and dirt. just suck it and see i suppose.
