They should switch off after 16mins, mine certainly do, if they don't do what NDF says, LED bulbs and you can leave them on for hours without effecting the battery... Pete

My wife leaves the tailgate open when doing the horses with the dogs in the back of the rr and the light stays on, can you get led's from any auto store? |

Hold the interior light switch button for 10 or 15 or even 20 seconds and the interior lights will flash once then stay permanently off until you reverse this procedure to switch them back on

Found a quick and easy way is to push both latches shut manually (one on tight and one on top tailgate). Makes the car think the boot is shut. If I remember correctly might only need the top. Just push the button to unlock again. Ed |

I changed mind to LED for the same reason. Turning off the lights only turns the cabin lights off on mine, not the tailgate lights |

You can use an iiD Tool to stop the interior lights coming on if the tailgate is open , if that helps . 2008 MY Supercharged

This is really helpful, I was wondering whether I could prevent the interior lights coming on with the tail gate open. I have just been outside with my IID BT and gone into the CCF files but I can't seem to find that option, come to think of it I can't find the other options Stan has highlighted, window closing, sun roof closing etc. Is it under CCF Body control? 2010 5.0 SC Autobiography |
