Now why have manufacturers turned swapping air filters into a 20 minute job!
Used to be a case of undoing a few clips and then removing He old filters and fitting the new.
But no not any more. 12 screws, some of which are not dead easy to get to and you have to take the top of the housing completely off on the lhs which involved removing the engine cover, to get at the jubilee clamp, being careful of a small rubber hose (which came apart), and that was the just one side, the rhs involved un bolting some relay bracket and the rest was pretty easy (rant over).....
Anyhoo I noted that one of the filters was dirty and one almost as good as new, I am presuming this is because the one on the left of the bay services the larger vgt turbo which operates constantly, and the one on the right only services the smaller turbo such kicks in over 2400rpm. So it looks like my car has rarely been driven in anger!
But it is worth checking both filters before you order 2 to replace them as the chances are you will only need to replace one👍 There is nothing that can't be fixed with a hammer😜😜
