L322 wheel nuts with L405 wheels

Hi guys,

I've just picked up a set of brand new L405 style 16's, to fit onto my 2009 L322.

Firstly, is it ok to do a straight swap, using the factory L322 wheel nuts with these new wheels?

Secondly, I was thinking about buying a new set of black wheel nuts anyway, as I believe the style 16 wheel option comes with black nuts out the factory.

Any reccomendations on the best place to buy these?

Thanks in advance!

Joel

your nuts will fit ok..

if you buy black nuts [ebay?] make sure they are not the smaller OE ones as used on the 2002-2004 FF's. ... - .- -.

Hi, not sure about all l405 style wheels regarding wheel nuts but am pretty sure all l405 genuine wheels are a straight swap onto the l322. I have l405 style 5's on my l322 and were a strIght swap including wheel nuts.

I think some replicas require thinner 'tuner' style nuts to fit in the smaller recess on the face of the alloy.

If i am incorrect on any of this someone will come along and put me right Very Happy good luck with the new wheel fitment and here is a pic of mine on the style 5's on 275/45/21

Thanks all. The wheels I've got are genuine LR, so sounds like il be ok with my standard nuts.

'Style 16' being the model of the wheels, rather than 'L405 style' wheels Smile

Your 21's look good!

seem original ones, but "aftermarket" painted black, if that makes sense. l=Oo\________/oO=l l:OolΞΞΞΞΞΞΞloO:l

Thanks, that's what I thought.

I ordered up a set of 16 nuts from lrparts.net in the end with 4 black lockers. Should do the trick!

The black nuts are a kind of dark anodised affair rather than painted Thumbs Up

I guess they should last longer that way Thumbs Up
