Nope, insane amount of options. Verify with Microcat yourself if you don't believe me!

I take it you have Bi-Xenons? Could you verify how yours work? Ie what bulb comes on when?

The part number on the light is too long for a LR part number + it's not recognised in Microcat Sad

I'm loathed to open the lights up to see if they have the flap and motor etc, but maybe if you can point me in the direction of what i'm looking for?

Up against a wall I can see no increase in light from the xenons though. The only difference is the middle Halogens come on. Which looks stupid because against the pure white they look orange Big Cry

I did, Dan, I did! That's what I posted last night with the comment 'unreal'. I was only answering Tim as he mentioned the pre facelift lights. I guess I needn't have mentioned my impression again. (I actually typed that shortly after I got into the office at about 7:15 AM - long before the caffeine actually took hold. Much too early for my generally-sleep-pampered brain. Took me another couple of hours before I finished the post, tho. Due to work - not lack of caffeine Razz )

Still interested in finding out if halogens were standard - or even available - in MY 09.

I have the Bi-Xenons: dip = xenons only, main = xenons w/shutter open and halogen. Mine is an older car updated too, though.

I know the PN is not correct - the list in Microcat for 06 and later headlights is not that terribly long and I tried to make sense of some portion of that PN. Still strange.

I was hoping to be able to see something through the larger rear opening in the lights. We'll see. Literally. Cool

Hi Dan,
Finally got around to looking today - tried to take pics but I only had my phone and it was just way too sunny out to get a pic into the dark light.

The news is - you're not bi.

Very Happy sorry. Couldn't resist.

The servo is immediately visible on bottom of the Xenon reflector (2 brass worm gears). I'd still check the alignment - and if nothing else helps, pick up a pair on the bay, swap and sell yours. With any luck, you might even come out ahead.

That's certainly true! Idea

I might look for a pair on the bay then, altho I think the wiring will need modding slightly as they've only connected up half the wires and left the others to turn green. Looking at the wiring diagram these operate the shutter.

They did such a shoddy job, it really is unbelievable that they can get away with charging 2K to do this, and then sell the parts they've taken off your car for another 1K.

It was these cowboys: http://www.dcc4x4sidebars.co.uk/productView.php?pID=83&cID=4

So I assume they didn't use the oem connectors, just spade connectors?. I have an extra set of the oems - you'll likely need them for the fog lights too. And the GBP89 they're selling them for on the bay... Those people deserve to be smacked. PM if you're interested.

They used OEM for the conversion, but then they had lots of wires left over that they just left cut and dangling all over the place.
