I have had LR accessory seat covers in all my RRs since about 2000 and can recommend their fit, functionality and appearance, albeit I have no experience of the 405 covers. They have become much more expensive over the years but I still think they are well worth it. I leave the rear ones on all the time and have the front ones on from end September to maybe March. They have saved me a lot of difficult cleaning up and possibly also damage to the leather. I would not be without them now, especially with the more vulnerable perforated leather, even though they do not look or sit as well as the leather. To be fair my cars will be more workhorses than many others on here. Only Range Rovers since 1988 |

I had a full set of waterproof seat covers on a previous FFRR. I took them off when I sold it and the leather seats were pristine. After that I thought that I might as well enjoy the leather seats rather than save them for the second owner! |

I normally just throw a fleece type blanket down on my backseat when needed and can be easily folded up when not in use. |

I'd just enjoy the nice leather seats in the front unless you knew you were doing something particularly messy (off reading, etc). As the the back, it sounds like an excellent idea if you know the kids will make a mess. A quick clean means the mess isn't a problem. Whether covering the rears in a blanket, tarp, or the LR covers depends on the level on anticipated mess and how much you want to spend. |

I've got the genuine seat covers off a member here and wouldn't be without them. But then again I give mine a decent workout with it being used off-road, shooting etc. I got it to replace a Defender on the proviso it would do everything the Defender did.

What about wrapping the kids up, maybe pick up some of these NBC suits, a bit more than the seat covers but at least you get to see the leather still....!!!

Thanks all for the replies. Since getting the car, I must admit my boys have been very careful, so I'm now inclined to just get a blanket to go underneath their car seats, and see how I get on.

The INKA seat covers are good quality, I have them for the front seats in the shooting season. Discovery 4 HSE
