Had the pleasure of taking 8 x U10 laddies on a kids birthday day out today (between 2 cars) and I was on pins fretting about the hyper little cherubs scratching my sills, tread plates, shiny silver rear console covers and the piano black trim. Not to mention sweating about soiled paw marks on the headlining and them violently yanking the locked door handles each time we returned to the car!

Not at all, my two were brought up to be careful with cars and other peoples property, unfortunately there are an awful lot of children out there with no thought for anything, let alone a nice FF...

They all used to get a lecture before getting near my cars....

My little man takes his shoes off when he enters my car, wouldn’t dream of touching the windows etc Its simple respect fought from an early age!

Doesn’t treat the house any differently either!

Both my girls have been raised to have respect for things, cars, homes, furniture etc. etc. We hate misbehaved rude kids so we do our best to make sure ours are raised well and considering the compliments we get, we are succeeding sofar.

We can take them out no problem, restaurants, hotels, shops, you name it and they behave very well. Part of the reason is that our girls are clearly different from us (since they are adopted) so we stand out a lot, even more important to make sure they behave well as our behaviour has an effect on how "the general public" views adoptions.

Also our girls are well behaved in several social environments with different social norms, EU, Asia and Africa .

Mind you, it isn't always easy .

Like many, I'm amazed how rude and inconsiderate other children can be. My own have been taught from their earliest days to be polite and well mannered and to respect other people's property. It's just good upbringing. Si. <This is my name.

I've been the same with all my cars. I often go to places and then come back without getting out the car, just because I don't like the look of the car park.....
